As a teacher I was reading Charlotte’s web and I got upset as it reminded me of my son who died a a baby and how I thought of him in relation to my other children. I felt the need to explain why I was upset in a very brief manner. I later found out a parent had complained about me mentioning it! I feel it’s important to explain emotions to children and not hide death.
