About a year ago, my Mom’s best friend’s Dad died.  My Mom’s friend’s name was Kristen. On the day of the wake, we all gathered together in a room and it was quiet. Then, Kristen went to her Dad’s casket and began to sing. At the end of the song she cried out, “I LOVE YOU DAD” and in between the sobs and the screams, I felt peaceful and safe because I realised getting personal around death is allowed.
