I have been involved in the funeral profession for twenty years, still learning. Eighteen years ago a client requested that her little baby (who was born early and lived for one day) came home with her for the weekend. I made sure all legal requirements were met just in case (there were none). She spent quality time alone, in her own home, with her precious baby. It was very special for a person who did not have the usual celebrations associated with a birth.
