Husband cremated 5 years ago. Collective arrangements by my 3 children – 21, 17 and 13 – who all chose the coffin, wrote the eulogy. Daughter made paper lilies, wrote poems. Son helped carry the coffin – lovely day. Celebrant celebrated the life of “Peter’ during the service – husband called DAVID. (Didn’t have to pay HIS fee) Used my co-op card to get 10% off the funeral. Asked funeral home to shave him – they trimmed his beard. I’m having a cardboard coffin.
