My Nana passed away early a year ago (28th June) and it was unexpected. She had leukaemia and pneumonia. She was in hospital for a short time. She was a very active lady. She knew a lot of people and over 250 people came to the funeral. It was lovely, all of the family got up and spoke about her and there were lots of lovely memories and tears. Nana was buried on her’s and Grandad’s land. She was buried in a wicker casket with her favourite apple tree planted on top of her. There is a space for Grandad beside her. Everyone that was at the graveside helped fill her in. We are all getting together next month to celebrate her life. Today has made me think a lot about her and how I need to find out what my parents want to happen.
