My story is about my daughter Charlotte. When I was 20 weeks pregnant we found out she had Patau’s Syndrome. After much turmoil we decided to have a medical termination. The medics made the appointment for the following week and I duly went in, took the tablets and gave birth to my very poorly baby girl – still born of course. What I later found out was that I could have waited. I could have carried her for longer, getting over the 24 week mark which would have given her a birth and death certificate. Very sad not to have had this option – or known this option was available.
