A man dying in a care home for adults with learning disabilities. Staff trained in palliative care by local Macmillan nurses. Staff support in place. GP really helpful. Other residents working to understand the process. All going well. BUT. Sudden realisation that there was no way to get the body out of the care home except through the kitchen (front door narrow with two doors and double locks). They managed in the end but said they would be unable to support another dying there.
