My experience of death was my husband who died in 10 weeks from diagnoses which was sugared with hope. Doctors and nurses found it hard to talk about. He and I found it hard to talk about plans for death as he was struggling to live his last weeks. We were fortunate to have two days in the hospice but it was hard to know who to get help from. After death we had no advice about the options and had to use the internet to get information. We understood from the hospice that no arrangements for organ donation could be made. We understood from the funeral directors that only qualified people could handle a dead body to the crematorium and that dead bodies could only travel in a designated vehicle.
